2017 Careers Portfolio team photoThe LSS Careers team works hard all year round to create events, initiative and workshops to assist law students to gain the skills and information required to reach their full careers potential. Be it in a firm, a government department or an NGO, in Australia or overseas! We are always eager to hear any ideas you have about how we can best serve you as law students and members of the legal community.

In 2017, the careers portfolio is expanding in the quality and quantity of our initiatives and events. In semester one our events have focusing on helping you gain the skills necessary to excel in applying for clerkships, graduate jobs and internships.

The ANU LSS is excited to announce our new mentoring Initiative with MinterEllison that aims allow high achieving pre-penultimate students know gain personal professional development.

 

While in semester two our focus will be on providing a range of initiatives that will showcase the diversity of career opportunities for law students with a reality check panel event, a range of firm visits, our inaugural social justice careers evening and the graduate job careers night to round off the year. Subscribe to either the LSS mailing list or our Facebook page for more information.

Unfortunately, the LSS Careers team cannot help you find a job but if you’re looking to gain experience use sites such as ANU Careers Hub, the ANU LSS Facebook page, Seek, Ethical Jobs, Beyond Law and Social Justice Opportunities. Rather our aim is to provides all ANU law students and recent graduates an integrated outlook on the diverse range of careers opportunities that are available to them. Also to  to empower ANU law students and begin to highlight where your law degree can take you. We hope that the 2017 Careers Portfolio will provide you with the necessary skills and information to kick start your pursuit for your chosen career.
