2010 Nygh Internship awarded to ANU Law Student

The Australian Institute of International Affairs and the Australian Branch of the International Law Association are proud to announce that the 2010 Peter Nygh Hague Conference Internship has been awarded to Kim Pham.

Kim graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in international relations and a Bachelor of Laws with first class honours and the University Medal. Since graduating she has worked at the Australian Government Solicitor. Currently Kim is associate to Justice Heydon at the High Court of Australia.

Kim is excited about joining the international team at the Hague Conference. She developed a strong interest in conflict of laws during her university studies. In her honours thesis Kim argued for a new common law rule for enforcement of foreign non-monetary judgments in Australia. Kim contributes to the annual conflict of laws updates in the Australian Yearbook of International Law. She is looking forward to learning more about the Hague Conferences's work to harmonise the laws of different countries through multilateral treaties. Click here to read the media release.
